In a moving letter, Rabbi Nahman Holtzberg pleas with Olmert not to destroy Jewish Unity
HaRav Nahman Holtzberg, father of HaRav Gavriel Holtzberg, ה"יד, one of those murdered in the Chabad House in Mumbai, has written a letter to Prime Minister Olmert pleading with him not to destroy the unity created by the murder of his son, daughter-in-law and others in India.
Stating that rumor of the evacuation of the Jewish residents of Beit HaShalom in Hebron is rampant, Rabbi Holtzberg writes that in the hour of his terrible grief, he asks that the Jewish unity abounding in love which has come about as a result of the terror of hatred which took his children's lives, not be destroyed, which would happen with such a devisive action.
While thanking Olmert for the actions taken in India on behalf of the Holzberg couple, he writes that he hopes that the sensitivities of the "public family" will be considered before acting in Hebron.
